I asked Mark to pick up a dozen lemons for the lemon cake (I forgot how many lemons I would need, so I over-estimated to be safe). I only ended up needing 5, but I updated the recipe so I would know for next time. I also got a little carried away when getting apples at the store. Every year at this time, the apples come from the Okanagan Valley. They’re straight from the orchards, unpolished, and actually smell like apples. Now I just have to figure out what to do with all of these lemons and apples. They look and smell fantastic.
